Greece hoping to welcome tourists by mid-May.
Greece is hoping to open up to visitors in mid-May, but it's not clear how many other countries will be ready to permit travel. Although it is likely for Greece to form a travel corridor with the UK due to its falling Coronavirus cases and vaccination programme, Some European countries are still seeing a surge in cases.
Visitors will still need to be vaccinated or show proof of a negative PCR test before entry. All tourists will also be subjected to random testing.
Greece is planning to vaccinate all tourism workers by the summer and as the tourist industry accounts for about a fifth of Greece's economy, locals are becoming increasingly frustrated.
